I thought that I should share this with our curling friends:
Unfortunately, my father, Dr. Barcome, has had another set-back. After not being able to attend last week's World Men's Curling Championships here in Grand Forks because of a very weak heart, we found out today that the tumor in his brain is cancerous.
He made it through a very perilous biopsy today, but is in SCCU for a day or 2, trying hard to regain where he was pre-op. His physicians are plotting their next move, trying to balance the reality of a bad heart with the needs of treating the tumor. The bottom-line is that his heart remains the main problem and that will determine how the cancer is fought, or not fought.
Your prayers for him to have the strength to get through this ordeal are greatly appreciated.
