And The 5 Finalists Are...

The five finalists are set in Curling Idol 2, sponsored by BalancePlus. Again, I would like to thank everyone who applied for Curling Idol 2. It was a very difficult decision to agree on the 5 finalists you see below. Voting for Curling Idol 2 will begin Monday morning, and will last until Sunday, October 2nd at 8:00 PM ET. The winning team will be announced the following morning, Monday October 3rd.

In alphabetical order, the five finalists are:

Team Adams - "Although still a young women’s team, Team Adams brings a wealth of experience to the sport of curling. Each member of the team is a Canadian Junior Champion, and the skip is a World Junior Champion."

Team George - "Last year our hard work and dedication paid off! We were crowned Saskatchewan, Canadian and World Junior Men’s Champions. This year we will have to work even harder to defend our titles."

Team Hall - Their goals for this year include: "Utilize our season experience (training, bonspiels and league play) to win the BC Junior Provincial Championships and, ultimately, the 2006 Karcher Junior Canadian Championships"

Team Homan - "In 2004, Team Homan captured the Ontario Junior Women’s Curling Tour Championship. In 2005, Team Homan did that one better, capturing the 2005 Ontario Women’s Curling Tour Championship, after defeating three women’s teams that have or soon will be representing Canada at the Women’s, Senior Women’s, and Junior World Women’s Curling Championships."

Team Hughes - "We have been working hard, physically and mentally, since last season to prepare ourselves for our last year of Junior competition as a team. So this year our we have set our goals high and we will not settle for any less than achievement of these goals."
