New Arena Club Needs Curling Stones

New Arena Club Needs Curling Stones

We are a group of curlers, some experienced, some new, who are starting a club on Long Island, NY. We have ice, but we need stones. If anybody has good stones for sale, please reply to licurling@gmail.com . We would like to get started as soon as possible this summer. Thanks!

You may wish to contact the United States Curling Association or some of the local clubs to see if they can help (Ardsley or Nutmeg).

Contact Carl Thomas of the GNCC at carl.thomas@frontiernet.net. He is in charge of the stone lease program for the East Coast.

Where in LI are you located? At one time there was a club out there and I think the rocks may still be around somewhere.

They are in Long Beach,NY

You might want to check with Andy Borland from Hibbing (send me an email at dbz@aol.com - I don't like to give out other's email addresses online). I know that they are looking at getting new stones, as they do not like the ceramic running surfaces on the 14 sets they have now. Should be a good price & work on arena ice OK.

The Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa may be getting rid of their stones this year - 5 sheet club located in Ottawa.
