Here's a stone recommendation someone gave me in a earlier thread:
"The one I use is 2.5 X 8 inches from Diamond Machining Technology in the US model #W8ECNB. www.dmtsharp.com"
I've been using this honing stone for about a month now and am very happy with it. I like that its large and flat and can be used with WD-40 as the lubricant (which is already on my blade). The diamond hone is much faster and easier to use than the old water stone I used to use.
